Good Cleanser, 2007-10-24
Cetaphil Cleanser is one of the very best out there. I have very sensitive skin. Even when I use dove soap, my skin immediately turns red and itchy. I was introduced to this product when I went to the beauty shop. Every time I use it, my face literally shines. Although I have to say, my face turns a little dry after using it, but I will still continue to use it because it does make my skin itchy or break out.

Good for anyone!, 2007-08-24
As far as washing your face and neck only, I'll rate this a five. I have oily enough skin to fry something with the oil off my face, but I use it anyway. It's the one thing that doesn't leave a residue on my face. Also, it's perfect for me to remove my eye makeup, as it doesn't sting a bit. But it's only the liquid version that doesn't leave a residue behind. Unfortunately, I cannot say that about the bar version.
I also, due to my body chemistry, cannot use this to bathe with, as I have in the past a few times and got accused of not bathing. So I'd only recommend it obly to wash face and neck unless you truly cannot handle using anything besides Cetaphil.

for those with seborrheic dermatitis, 2007-06-12
I have a really nasty case with seborrheic dermatitis that has plagued me since I was in high school. Cetaphil is the ONLY thing that I can use on my face that doesn't cause intense flaking and acne breakouts (yes, I am lucky enough to get them BOTH!) There is the added bonus of the "without water" option which means I can use it in a pinch at work when I can feel a breakout coming on, and I even brought it on a camping trip where there was no running water-- I was the most popular girl at the campsite! We all had a fun trip and no one was stuck with oily skin for the weekend.

Dermatologists Agree!!, 2007-02-10
I've seen 2 different dermatologists, and they BOTH said to use Cetaphil. Every other person I know who has had to visit a dermatologist says their doctor also recommended Cetaphil. I have a rare (and extremely severe)form of Rosacea and have tried TONS of cleansers and I have to say that this cleanser is the BEST!!! Between my medication-induced dry skin and the sub-zero Chicago winter weather, my skin takes a beating. Normally I rinse the cleanser off, but on the worst days, I wipe it off with a soft cloth. My skin is soft and supple now, whereas before, it would flake like crazy. It looked like I had severe dandruff, until you realized all the flakes on my shirt were from my face! Just stay away from the bar cleansers. They are not so good. If you have oily skin, use the liquid cleanser for normal to oily skin.
