Editorial Review: Glycolic Acid is a superficial peeling agent that is made from sugar cane. It is often considered the most active and beneficial of the Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids (AHA). With repetitive and continuous use, improvement to skin tone and texture occurs. Once inside the skin's cell, glycolic acid will serve as a catalyst for the formation of new collagen which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the skin's surface. Glycolic acid has been proven to be very effective in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma, actinic keratosis, acne, and oily skin, as well as other cosmetic uses. Our kit provides you the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of professional results at home, for a fraction of the cost. What You Can Expect Several layers of surface skin will be exfoliated very quickly... within 10-12 minutes. There is no noticeable peeling, just a sloughing action that will leave your skin feeling smooth and looking refreshed. The dry, dead, glued-together surface sebum that makes skin lo...

The best product I've found for my skin..., 2008-05-29
I am in my mid-forties and have had acne since I was a teenager. To make it even more fun, my hormones are bouncing all over now and I alternate between greasy skin, acne, dry skin, and have lines forming. The Glycolic Acid peel is the only thing I have found that works consistently on my skin. There is some tingling while it is on, but it is not unbearable. The next day my skin feels noticeably softer and looks smoother. A great side effect is that the acne is greatly diminished. I have been using this product about once a week for several months.

Alpha-Hydroxy Peel Works For Me!, 2008-05-22
This formula contains a concentration of the active ingredient in Alpha-Hydroxy products, which you simply apply, wait, and rinse. I have been using it about twice a week for several weeks now. Though the changes have not been dramatic, I have noticed an increase in my skin's overall tone, and am finding that some pigmentation is beginning to lessen: it might be too soon to see major fading of skin discoloration, but I have noticed the improvement, so I would recommend this product. If you're looking for the 'magic bullet', this isn't it. But it is a good addition to your current cosmetic regimen.

A must have for your home spa, 2008-05-11
I chose this product based on its customer reviews and it has really worked for me. My face is very sensitve but I was able to use this product without any problems and v. minimal reddness/irritation. Its also great for rough patches on knees and elbows. I've recomenned this product to my girlfriends as well. Its a a great value. Don't forget to use sunblock after your peel.

Effective, 2008-03-28
I bought 3 items from Skin Laboratory: a) Lactic 35% & Glycolic 25% Combination Acid Gel Peel, b) Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, c) Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel.
I have used each peel for 4 weeks, rest 1 week in between, which is important to avoid sensitivity problem. The result from the combo is the worst. If you have acne, Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel works perfectly. It clears my occasional spots and whiteheads instantly. If you have uneven skin tone, large pores or fine lines, Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel brings about a much more dramatic and noticeable effect.
The only criticism is my skin is getting accustomed to this strength and I don't see as much of that initial effect.

Don't buy it, 2008-01-23
This product does not work. I've been using it for three weeks now and my face looks the same. I have oily skin, acne and eczema. Do not waste your time and money on this product.
